Description
M-C Dairy's Organic Grassfed Pressed Cottage Cheese is a harder-to-find version of cottage cheese. The moisture content is slightly lower than a non-pressed cottage cheese, so it makes a good substitute for ricotta and is often used in baking.
MC Dairy Cottage Cheese is made from Jersey Cow milk which is 20% higher in calcium and richer in micronutrients; minerals and vitamins (the golden hue of Jersey milk is due to its high beta-carotene levels). Jersey cows produce A2 protein milk which some find easier to digest.

About M-C Dairy
M-C Dairy has recently started sourcing milk from three Ontario farms that raise Jersey cows. Jersey cow milk is higher in butterfat and protein than other breeds of cows' milk, thus making a richer more flavourful milk product. The farms they source from are also certified organic, and meet the 80% grassfed requirements for the Dairy Farmers of Ontario's Grassfed Protocol.
